Dear Reader,
If you’re following generative AI in higher education but occasionally find yourself short on time - or if you want a super short weekly digest on generative AI and education - this is for you.
I’ve created edAI Brief specifically for busy educators just like you.
Each week, edAI Brief features three top newsletters and blog posts - easily read in just a minute or two.
To give you a feel for the compact format, here’s a snippet from the first edition which launched just a couple of hours ago:

AI’S ILLUSION OF REASON
WHAT TO KNOW: Generative AI mimics reasoning, much like the Mechanical Turk - an 18th-century chess-playing hoax that concealed a human operator inside. Its step-by-step outputs look deceptively intelligent but follow pre-set patterns.
WHY IT MATTERS: Words like "reasoning" and "hallucinations" mislead us, making generative AI seem more human than it is. That misunderstanding leads to misplaced trust. Clearer language would help us see its limits, not its illusions.

edAI Brief goes out Monday mornings CET - straight to your inbox.
As a trusted reader of The Future of Higher Education, I thought this might be useful for you too.
I would be thrilled to have you onboard.
